Why We Built The Spa
The idea behind The Spa started with a simple truth: we take longer, more enjoyable trips when we have a bathroom we actually want to use. Whether boondocking in the mountains or road-tripping along the coast, being able to shower, use the toilet, and stay clean dramatically improves our travel.
But The Spa isn’t just a camper van bathroom — it also doubles as a gear mudroom.
A Multi-Functional Wet Bath & Gear Mudroom
Every inch of a van matters. That’s why The Spa is both a spacious wet bath and a gear storage solution. At nearly 12 square feet with 6’2” of interior height, it’s large enough to mount bikes, skis, surfboards, and more — all without interfering with the toilet or shower space. The integrated L-track system allows you to secure gear safely and efficiently.
Lightweight, Durable Design
Like the rest of our custom van interiors, The Spa is built with high-performance materials that are lightweight, durable, and easy to clean. The room is equipped with an insulated door and a ceiling fan, helping keep noise, odor, and cold air from reaching the cabin.
Efficiency + Optional Recirculating Shower
The Spa also functions as a thermal buffer zone, keeping the warm/cold air inside your van when egressing from the rear doors. Unlike rear bed layouts that limit egress through the sliding door, exposing the interior to the weather outside.
For next-level luxury and efficiency, we offer an upgrade: a recirculating hot water shower system (developed with Van Life Tech) that allows for hot showers without draining your water tank. After a day in the ocean, on a mountain, or simply in the cold, stepping into a steamy endless shower is nothing short of transformative.
